This quaint city provided the grounds for a collaboration between three individuals with unique musical and cultural backgrounds. Matthew Irons (U.K.), already popular in the underground scene owing to his distinctive voice and former projects, is joined by bass-guitar player, Romain Descampe (France), and drummer, Egil "Ziggy" Franzen (Sweden,) to form the trio, Puggy.

Instrumentation and vocals occupy a prominent position throughout their compositions. The particular acoustic sonority reveals itself as pervasive yet subtle and devoid of any superfluous effects. Altogether, the individual mastering of their instruments along with their ability to compose, suggest a rare level of musical maturity.

After almost two years of venues in the U.K. area Puggy have become one of the must-see bands in the London underground scene.

Puggy's combination of nationalities enabled them to rapidly spread to audiences outside of Brussels. Soon they found themselves performing in London at such prestigious locations as the Jazz Café and Borderline where their explosive live charisma stunned the audiences. As their reputation as an impressive live act spread, Puggy found themselves to be amongst the lucky few to play at the renown Reading and Leeds festivals (2005) and last year's Benicassim Festival in Spain.

A demo agreement with Geffen Records followed by an encounter with renown producer, Steve Lillywhite, also seduced by Puggy's style, encouraged the band to record their powerful song, "The Luckiest Crime" Without hesitation, the band headed to the studio where they discovered the Brussels based indie label, Talkieo. An agreement was set up between Puggy and Talkieo with plans to record an album. "Out of Hand" is the second extract of Puggy's album.
