It is impossible to describe the music of Bastard Nation in one style or put one single label on it. The brainchild of Carlos Dyckmans and Joy Adegoke contains elements of jazz, flamenco, pop, soul as well as different kinds of world music. Just like a good book or a touching movie, each song tells a musical story, coloured by different atmospheres and styles. Also, the public's eyes (or rather ears) will be treated to lyrical fireworks.
Thus, Bastard Nation creates a unique sound without equal in Flanders. Their first CD 'This tale is a shark' will be released early 2008 and looks very promising according to insiders. Finally, a rather cryptic hint for the concertgoer: close your eyes and "look" at the music of Bastard Nation...
