THE PORN BLOOPERS started out as a nephew twosome (Yannick Aerts °1980 & Noah Melis °1989) in the blessed year of 2004. Yannick played the guitar, Noah the drums. Originally the idea was to produce powerful garage rock (rehearsals took place in Noah’s garage) with pseudo-humorous sex-ridden lyrics. Their main interest was making noise, showing off and while doing so getting drunk for free and attracting the hotties’ attention.
In February of 2006 they made a home recording of 4 songs entitled “(The Porn Bloopers) GO EP ON YOU”, which got a very favourable review in RIF RAF MAGAZINE. It seemed now everyone wanted to get a load of the Porn Bloopers action. In August they started recording a new EP in a professional studio, which was part of a prize they had won in a competition issued by TRIX Muziekcentrum. Lots of guests wanted to play on the EP, which was produced by Tars Vervaecke & Pascal Deweze (METAL MOLLY, SUKILOVE). These guests were Tim Vanhamel (EVIL SUPERSTARS, MILLIONAIRE, dEUS, EAGLES OF DEATH METAL), Pieter Van Buyten (FLIP KOWLIER, THE KIDS, NONO NEWTON), Younes Faltakh (THE HICKEY UNDERWORLD), Stijn Van Bouwel (ADMIRAL FREEBEE, TO THE BONE), Georgios Tsakiridis & Arne Omloop (BOROKOV BOROKOV) and Hans De Prins (GENERAL MINDY).
When recording The Porn Bloopers wanted to do something more than just reproducing their live sound. On “GO EP ON YOU” they had also been adding extra guitars, vocals and synths and so on the new “EP KAYAY MOTHERFUCKER” they pimped their songs to the extreme with a little help from their friends. All this resulted in the urge to reproduce the new versions of these songs live. And so they asked Arne Omloop °1985 from BOROKOV BOROKOV to become their bass player and Stijn Boels °1986 (a kindred spirit Yannick had once met on a drinking binge in the city while busking away) to play the lead guitar and some synths.
The new line-up played their first show at TANZKOLLEKTIV ZWANGLOS in Kalmthout in December 2006.
