tHE ALPhA™ rose up out of the subterranean landscapes of Belgium, Europe. Three guys on a mission, an entity born out of the bitterness towards a bland world, reaching out for a life without limitations.
tHE ALPhA History
The assault starting in 2004, the band will spend a year focusing on writing the songs that define a unique identity: a saturated fat sound, riffs as convulsive as your worst panic attack, a disenchanted and poignant voice that will dance in your head for days to come, and a sense of melody that feels as true as true love. In fewer words, an awesome heavy pop emotive rock mixture that you've always known, but weren't aware about yet.
The following year, 8 of theses songs make their way to a home recording session that will lead to the making of the skeleton Ep, 5 tracks make the cut and are soon released on Itunes (2006) after a deal is signed with the WAB, elabel based in Antwerp. 2005 also saw tHE ALPhA™ embark on a bunch of dates, sharing the stage with bands like The Buzzcocks, Mondo Diao, Dolly, as well as numerous local and national acts. Along the road, they win that year edition of the Verdur Rock contest and play the Rock The City Festival, for which the single Suck to the bone from the Skeleton EP is chosen as the official promotional track for the entire festival.
Fast forward to present day. After a short hiatus to write some new material, tHE ALPhA™ finds itself looking for a new drummer, when an old friend of theirs comes back from a two years trip in the US. Three days in the practice room later, the band is now a power trio again. Almost immediately follows a brilliant show with Millionaire in Antwerp and the preparation for a European tour is in the works, starting in Amsterdam and Paris - Planned by Planet Of Sound, a event organisation based in Netherland.
The band now stronger than ever, a brand new web site about to be unleashed, plans to release a new four tracks EP before the end of the year [the boys entering the studio sometimes in October], and the rest of the tour being currently scheduled, you can surely expect to witness the rising of tHE ALPhA™ out of the subterranean much sooner than later!
